I have used my surface pro for almost 10 years.  I know there are so many different varieties and options for tablet type devices, but this is our recommendation.  Having written 37 books, doing all my scanning, uploading data, banking, video connections and every other daily chore that requires a computer, this is my go-to device.  In addition to all of that, it folds so flat and makes it super easy for travel.  If you get a chance, check it out.
